Background

Verizon Connect & Routist: Verizon Connect is guiding a connected world on the go by automating, optimizing, and revolutionizing the way people, vehicles, and things move through the world. It has been born by the joint between 3 companies in the US, Ireland, and New Zealand, and has different solutions for fleet tracking management, field service & scheduling, route optimization, and driver management.

Routist is Verizon's Routing Product where fleet managers can plan their driver's routes and see them in real-time.

My role

I’ve worked in the Routist's Squads, with teams based in Dublin (Ireland) and Florence (Italy) as a Senior Product Designer and UX Researcher. Another designer worked with me, and also the product team and leaders helped with the business requirements, being available all the time we needed.

Problems

The current onboarding process was labor-intensive and slow contributing to low active use and product adoption. Getting Customers to Active Use was a Challenge
→ Active Use: 33%
→ Average Onboarding Time: Over 3 Weeks

#1: Low engagement

Engaged customers are the ones that performed at least 4 operations in the current week and in the previous one.

#2: Problem: Time to Active Use

The onboarding process was labor-intensive and slow, contributing to low active use and product adoption.
